Gunkajima

This site has gained a huge amount of popularity recently (which is why I found it). It's a collection of photographs by SAIGA Yuji who is a professional photographer. Off the mainland of Japan is a small island that was once a huge coal producing operation. An entire city was built on top of a small island which looked so much like a battle ship that it was named Gunkajima. The pictures are eerie and beautiful.

Web Wanderings

I find myself undertaking journeys through the web on subjects that come to me from the middle of nowhere. The trips take hours, or days, and meander here and there.

I can't help but think that other people are wondering about the same things somewhere. Here will be a blog where I record where I went, and why I went there, and what I found along the way.
